Acadian Ambulance has offered a membership program since our company was organized in 1971. Adhering to strict state and federal requirements, Acadian's membership program aims to focus benefits on people who use the service, such as the elderly and those in need of convalescent care and protection in emergency medical situations. Sixty-five percent of the company's current members are 62 years of age or older and are Medicare recipients.

Annual family membership fees are $75, while memberships for individuals who have Medicare supplemental insurance are $60. A membership entitles members to receive a 20% discount off of billed ambulance charges for services rendered. There is substantial value for Medicare recipients who are relieved of co-insurance and deductible costs for medically-approved transports. Residents of the service area may enroll during August of each year.

For an annual fee of $75, a membership covers applicant, spouse and resident children up to 21 years of age (through 23 if still attending school) who have never been married.

Traditional Medicare recipients with supplemental insurance pay an annual fee of $60. To qualify for the $60 membership fee, those covered by Traditional Medicare and a supplemental insurance policy must provide information on the enclosed application form.
